Parataxis

Based on a 16 mm film loop created during a workshop at the Kubelka school for independent film, Vienna. Kind of a film-film with footage of an oil „film“ shimmering on water combined with a piece of handpainted clear leader of the same length as an artefact, separated by a piece of black leader of the same length, the rest is filled out with leader of the length to close the loop in the projector.
Therefore a metric, structural setting is created where the loop is shown 93 times, 3 times without zoom, then 90 times zooming into the image step by step in the digital editing.
The title refers to a principle of composition in literature and art, meaning the juxtaposition of the related same or similar elements.
